May- June 2008

Wendy's International Bike Race that goes through our subdivision every year...it goes right past our house. They do 40 laps or so. It's pretty fun to watch.

There were about 100 cyclists. Watching them turn the corners is always fun!

Washing my hands in Brewer's water dish.

I can crawl upstairs now...and boy, am I quick!

The day of the bike race...I have dirty knees from crawling on our neighbor's blacktop!!

Grandma Wobick is so funny!

Just relaxing on the couch with the remote. Wheel of Fortune, anyone?

Brewer and his friend Abby.

Brewer and Abby after a long, hard day playing in the backyard and going to the Dog Park.

I'm exhausted, but there's always time to play with my Spaghettios!

Daddy had my pacifier, so I had to get it back. I think it's his sneaky way of stealing a kiss!!

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. We've been busy! Daddy started his baseball league again, I've been trying to walk, therefore keeping Mommy and Daddy very busy, plus I'm learning more words everyday and I've gone to taking just 1 nap a day (how unfortunate for Mom and Dad!) Grandma Wobick is here visiting. Yesterday we went for a bike ride, and she took a spill and broke her right ankle. She is doing o.k., but having some pain. She's been a real trooper! Hopefully she'll be back on her feet again soon! Since she drove here, Grandpa Wobick is going to fly down here this week-end to drive her back to Milwaukee. We hope they make it back safe and sound! We hope everyone has a great 4th of July! Happy Independence Day!

We'll miss you, old buddy.

Pepe Stewart Scheuer
February 12, 1993- May 17, 2008

On Saturday, May 17, 2008, we had to say good-bye to our family member, Pepe, at the ripe old age of 15. He had recently lost a lot of weight, and we knew it was time to say good-bye when he no longer wanted to eat lunchmeat, tuna, or milk, his favorite foods. He was also having trouble walking. Our vet kindly came to our home, and he went very peacefully. We are missing him terribly right now, but are so blessed to have had him in our family. Keep him and us in your prayers.

Watch me go!!

I can't believe I'm 1!!

Me and Grandma Scheuer

I really don't like my party hat, Mom!

Sarah makes me giggle!

The Scheuer clan at Logan's confirmation. Congratulations Logan!

I like to help Mommy with the dishes

My new bike helmet. I hate wearing it, but if it will protect my noggin, I guess I'll tolerate it...but we'd better be moving!!

My personal birthday cake...not such a fan of chocolate. Maybe next year!

Me and Daddy, Uncle Jim, Uncle Pete, Uncle Steve, and Uncle John

Can you believe I'm a year old already???!!! I can't, and neither can Mommy or Daddy! I had 2 wonderful birthday parties...1 in WI and 1 in Ohio. Thank you to everyone for all the fun gifts, cards, and well-wishes! I had my 1 yr check-up today, and I'm doing great! I weigh 18 lbs, 8 oz, (15%) and measure 28 3/4 inches long (25%). I am petite, but that's probably good because I'm not quite walking. These days I spend my time blowing kisses, practicing the word "Brewer", feeding myself, waving at everyone/thing, eating whatever is on Mommy's and Daddy's plate, swinging in my backyard, and I just started walking behind my push toys (see above video). It won't be long, and I'll be running!! I thoroughly enjoy eating lima beans, crab cakes, Yo-Baby yogurt, and jello. You can keep the cake and frosting! (Mommy says I must not be her child. She's just kidding!) I hope everyone has a wonderful spring and I look forward to hearing from you! Love, Ellie
