39 Week Update

Hello everyone! I think I have hit that "miserable" point in pregnancy. Swollen feet, inability to sleep at night, feeling stretched to the MAX, etc. Adam and I went to the doctor today, and there is a tentative end point in sight. If I have not gone into labor on my own by May 3rd (Little Bean's due date), I have the OPTION, if I so choose, to be induced at 8 pm that night. Let's hope for something before then!! I am 1.5-2 cm dilated, so we're making progress. I want to say thank you for everyone's kind thoughts and prayers for us! We'll keep updating as things progress....hopefully!!

Ohio Baby Shower Pics and 38 Week Update

Our dear friends Kate and Brian hosted a baby shower for Adam, Little Bean, and I on April 18th. A HUGE thank you to everyone. We had a great time and really appreciate all the wonderful gifts. Little Bean is very loved and off to a great start!!

Our "growth check" ultrasound to measure the baby was today. Here are the baby's puckered lips and nose... He or she is measuring about 7-7.5 lbs. A good, solid weight. There will be no change in the due date...still 2 weeks away! The heart rate was about 156. I am still just 1 cm dilated, but 50% effaced. (We're getting there!)

A profile shot. The bright white around the head is hair!! The baby was making lots of movement with it's mouth, sticking out it's tongue, sort of like it was drinking.

So, everything is just fine. We just can't wait to see this little sweetie pie out in the world! I must admit, though, I think I might miss being pregnant. But I know we're going to LOVE being parents!

And our lovely dresser/changing table. It is already stocked with diapers and wipes...now I just need to get around to doing laundry so I can put away the baby clothes!
