Adam's Trip to FInland

Hello everyone! Now it's finally my turn to participate in the blog!

These are a few pictures from my recent trip to Finland. I was there for one week on business and stayed an additional day to do some sightseeing. Enjoy!

This first picture is a famous fountain that is located near the esplanade in the city center. The funny thing about this picture was that it was taken from the exact point of view as the picture that is on one of the Helsinki tourist guides. I was told the history of this fountain, but I don't really remember it anymore!

This is the national art museum. I didn't have time to see any of the artwork, but I was told that the musuem contains mostly art from famous Finnish artists.

This is a Lutheran church located near the Baltic sea in the city center. It is ontop of a hill that overlooks the city. It was quite a beautiful site. It turns out that around 85% of the Finnish are Lutheran. In fact, the person that I spent a lot of the week with told me that her father was a Lutheran minister. There are many more pictures that I will post later.

The National Theater. Not much to say about this.

A view from a bar ontop of one of the cities taller buildings. This is overlooking the old part of Helsinki. The Baltic Sea can be seen in the distance.

A Russian Orthodox church near the Lutheran church.
