Well, here we are at about 25 weeks (already the 3rd trimester!). I bet you can't guess which belly is Adam's! (Just kidding sweetie!) It seems as though virtually over night my belly really popped out. Last Friday was my birthday and it was wonderful!! I was able to talk to lots of friends and family, which was really nice. My dear friend Angi drove all the way from Milwaukee in the pouring rain to spend the week-end here. It was a great time and very sweet of her!! Adam and my parents bought the 3 of us a 4-D ultrasound, which we'll have done on Feb 3rd. It will give us very clear photos of the baby's face, which I can't wait to see!! Also, we get 20 minutes of video footage of Little Bean scooting around in the uterus, which will be cool for us and for the baby when he/she gets older. I just hope the baby is awake and moving for the appointment!
OK. Time for me to brag about why I have the greatest husband EVER!!!
Adam gave me the best gift...he took the day off of work for my birthday as a surprise. He got up at his usual time, got dressed, and even left. A few minutes later I heard his feet coming back up the stairs, and he gave me a lovely bouquet of flowers and announced that he had taken the day off to spend with me!! He preceded to make me a great breakfast, help me clean the house, go with me to my doctor's appointment, and then spend 5 hours registering for baby stuff!! It was a very productive day! When Angi arrived, we went to dinner with her, Kate, and Brian at the Happy Greek...yum! We then learned how to play the game "Settlers of Catan"...a big hit!
The doctor's appointment went well. I found out that I passed the glucose screen with flying colors...no guilt about cake and ice cream that day! We listened to the baby's heart beat (147 bpm). I found out that my hemoglobin is pretty low, so I am now on an iron supplement. Hopefully that will bring it up soon. (That explains why I've been so tired and cold the past several weeks.) The baby is very active and Adam was able to finally feel the baby kick on Sunday. I loved the look on his face when he realized that he had just felt it!
Anywho...time for us to get our beauty sleep. Take care! There will be more pictures on Feb. 3rd, if not before.

OOOOOHHHHH how I love to see you in maternity tops!!! You all look great. Is Adam the one in the bottom picture? Just kidding, after all of the great work on the baby's room, and the great birthday present, he gets the Mr. Mom award. Even Brewer got in on the picture taking. Love you guys, Mom
