Here is a picture of my new cousin, Deklan Vincent, born on June 20th, 2006. He was 21 inches, 8 lbs, 9 oz. He is so adorable! Everyone is doing fine. His big brother, Casey, has been very helpful. We can't wait to see him over the 4th of July!! There will certainly be more pictures in a few weeks!

The latest news...

If you want to make any photos bigger, just click on them! Don't forget to post your comments! We love to read them!

Here are Shannon and I at her baby shower in Burlington, KY. Little Thomas is due at the end of July. We can't wait to meet him!

Jim, Fatime, Logan, Brett, and Katherine came to visit us last weekend on their way to Virginia and Washington, D.C. It was great to see them...and we were honored to spend Father's Day and Jim's 40th birthday with him! There were a couple of basketball games while they were here!

Here is Kate with Brewer...the kids are quite the animal lovers! Kate made special friends with our orange cat, Oliver, too. He ate up all the attention!
Here is Brewer cooling off in front of the fridge after a long walk! For the monthly update, he's getting much longer but not much taller. It looks like he's "growing into his neck" a bit more. His weight gain is leveling off a bit. He's just over 50 pounds now. He has added a new trick to his repertoire. If you point your finger at him like it's a gun and say "bang", he falls to the ground. It is hilarious and he looks so proud when he does it! It's been so fun teaching him new tricks!

Recent pictures of Brewer and friends

Brewer and I after doing the 5k Race for the Cure with Kate, Diesel, and my parents (who were in town for a few days!). Adam and Brian ran it...those overachievers! Brewer was a real trooper, even if he did pull me the entire time!
Kate and Brian's dog, Diesel (Brewer's bestest friend, besides Adam, of course!)

Kate and Brian were dog-sitting for Otto, a beautiful Samoyed. Here is Brewer giving him an Eskimo kiss!

Jill's trip to NYC and more remodeling

Here are Meg and I taking the bicycle cab back to our hotel after "Rent". The poor guy biked us about 2 miles in a drizzle, and then probably had to go back to Broadway to get any other business! It was a great way to travel...you can see the sights at a slower pace and it's seemed much safer than a cab ride!
Times Square

Central Park

The NYFD...on our visit to Central Park, we "ran into" an Israel parade for Israel's 58th Anniversary of Independence. It was really interesting! We were able to see Hilary Clinton start the parade.
This is the before picture of our foyer and hallway...yuck!
And this is the after!!! Adam did an awesome job putting down a sub floor and this porcelain tile...all by himself! It makes the hallway much brighter! When we redo the kitchen, we will continue this floor into the kitchen and bathroom.

Brewer and Spatzen

Brewer with his cousin, Spatzen!

John, Gina, Joe, and Eric's Visit to Columbus

We had a great visit with Adam's brother John, his wife Gina, and their two boys, Joe and Eric this past week-end. The boys were very inventive and gave us a new tree swing. They both showed off their "monkey skills"! They also brought their dog, Spatzen. He and Brewer are now best friends. Brewer was quite sad when they left. We went to the Columbus Zoo, the skate park by our house, Magic Mountain, and the men went golfing with Adam's other brother, Tim. It was a great time for everyone! We are so glad that they made the trip to see us.

Adam's Trip to FInland

Hello everyone! Now it's finally my turn to participate in the blog!

These are a few pictures from my recent trip to Finland. I was there for one week on business and stayed an additional day to do some sightseeing. Enjoy!

This first picture is a famous fountain that is located near the esplanade in the city center. The funny thing about this picture was that it was taken from the exact point of view as the picture that is on one of the Helsinki tourist guides. I was told the history of this fountain, but I don't really remember it anymore!

This is the national art museum. I didn't have time to see any of the artwork, but I was told that the musuem contains mostly art from famous Finnish artists.

This is a Lutheran church located near the Baltic sea in the city center. It is ontop of a hill that overlooks the city. It was quite a beautiful site. It turns out that around 85% of the Finnish are Lutheran. In fact, the person that I spent a lot of the week with told me that her father was a Lutheran minister. There are many more pictures that I will post later.

The National Theater. Not much to say about this.

A view from a bar ontop of one of the cities taller buildings. This is overlooking the old part of Helsinki. The Baltic Sea can be seen in the distance.

A Russian Orthodox church near the Lutheran church.

Here is a picture of our Florida room with our new furniture. It is now the most used room in the house! Also, Brewer wrestling with Adam (guess who won!), and Brewer's first true encounter with Carley. Sure, she's hissing in the picture and took off right after, but she actually sat there for a minute with him close by. The first two pictures are from a few weeks ago, when Brewer was still easy to pick up, and of him with his favorite squeak toy, "Binky".

New Pictures

Here are a few more pictures...
Brewer is getting so big! He's about 40 lbs and is now about 17 weeks old. He has an adorable personality and is so smart. He knows sit, shake, lay down, and release. He listens to Adam more than he listens to me, but I'm getting tougher with him. He's definitely intimidated by Pepe...Pepe has given him a few solid left hooks to the snout, so Brewer knows his place!! It's lots of fun and we don't know what we did without him!

The New House!!

Here are some of the photos of our new house, which we moved into in November. We tore up the living room carpet and found beautiful, untouched hardwood floors, repainted the living room (sage), kitchen (Tuscan yellow finish), dining room (cranberry), one of the guest rooms (cranberry), hallway/stairs (blue), and master bedroom (navy). Adam also had some demolition work in the kitchen (our new range was bigger than the original old one!) For now, we're done with all the major stuff, but we're planning on putting up crown molding and remodeling the kitchen... someday!

Pre-wedding photos

Adam and I got married on July 24, 2004 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. It was a beautiful day and it was wonderful to have so many family and friends there with us. I can't believe it's been a year and a half!!
